LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars triumphed over Multan Sultans in a gripping encounter at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Saturday, successfully chasing down a challenging target of 186 runs in the 19th over in the 16th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.

The Lahore Qalandars’ pursuit was anchored by a remarkable performance from Sikandar Raza, whose explosive innings proved decisive.

He struck a series of powerful blows, including a massive six that left just 27 runs required from the final three overs.

Daryl Mitchell played the perfect supporting role, rotating the strike effectively and maintaining composure under pressure.

Despite a crucial over from Ubaid Shah, who claimed two wickets to briefly tilt the momentum in Multan’s favour, Lahore responded with resilience.

Regaining control

Raza swiftly regained control, dispatching a six and a four in quick succession to re-energise the chase.

Earlier, Abdullah Shafique added flair to the innings with a stylish scoop for four and a commanding six, steadying the innings after the loss of Fakhar Zaman.

Lahore Qalandars had a mixed start, losing Mohammad Naeem early after a promising blow—a towering six off Mohammad Hasnain—but he soon fell to Josh Little, caught at mid-off for just 6.

Fakhar Zaman opened with caution, managing a single to get off the mark.

Earlier in the day, Multan Sultans recovered from a sluggish start and early setbacks to post a competitive 185 for three in their allotted 20 overs.

Despite the early dismissals, their middle order rallied to set a formidable target.

The victory marks a spirited comeback for Lahore Qalandars, who overcame multiple setbacks to cross the line in a high-pressure chase, much to the delight of their home crowd.
