ISLAMABAD: Karachi Kings have won the toss and decided to bat first against Quetta Gladiators in yet another exciting PSL 10 encounter at National Stadium, Karachi.

Both teams are looking for consistency this season, and this match could help one of them build much-needed momentum.

Head-to-head record

Quetta Gladiators have historically performed better in this rivalry. Out of 18 matches played between the two teams, Quetta have won 12, while Karachi have won 6. Quetta also had a four-match winning streak against Karachi between 2022 and 2023.

Recent form

Karachi Kings have had a mixed start to PSL X. They recorded a thrilling 4-wicket victory against Multan Sultans after chasing a huge target of 234 runs. However, they lost badly to Lahore Qalandars by 65 runs in their next match.

Quetta Gladiators also have one win and one loss so far. They began the tournament with a dominant 80-run victory over Peshawar Zalmi. But in their following match, they were outclassed by Lahore Qalandars, losing by 79 runs.

Key players

Karachi will depend on captain David Warner and opener James Vince for a solid start. All-rounder Mohammad Nabi adds experience in both departments, while Hasan Ali leads their bowling attack.

Quetta’s batting strength lies with Saud Shakeel and Finn Allen, who can score quickly. Their bowlers, Abrar Ahmed and Akeal Hosein, will be key in controlling the game in the middle overs.

Match outlook

Although Quetta has the better head-to-head record, Karachi’s strong batting in their win over Multan shows they are capable of big performances. Both teams have room for improvement, especially in their bowling.

This contest is expected to be close, with both teams aiming to bounce back and climb the PSL X points table.
