PSCA completes mapping of 2.5 mln private cameras across Punjab

LAHORE: The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has achieved a significant milestone by completing the mapping of 2.5 million private cameras throughout the province of Punjab, Pakistan. This accomplishment is poised to play a pivotal role in bolstering crime prevention and enhancing public safety in the region.

In a video message, Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwer, unveiled this remarkable progress and highlighted its implications for security in the province. The successful mapping of a vast network of private surveillance cameras signifies a proactive approach in leveraging technology for the greater good of the community.

These cameras, strategically positioned in various public and private spaces, contribute to the broader objective of creating a safer and more secure environment for the residents of Punjab. Dr. Usman Anwer also revealed that the Safe City projects in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala are advancing towards completion.
