WEST BANK: Thousands of people in Muslim nations and beyond held protest demonstrations Friday to express solidarity with Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, Western media reported. The protestors called for an immediate end to Israel’s blockade and bombing on Gaza.
Protests Held Against Israeli Airstrikes in Gaza
Protest demonstration erupted in the key cities of the occupied West Bank after Friday prayers. The protest demonstrators headed to Israel’s army checkpoints following Friday prayers in the West Bank. Israeli forces used tear gas and live rounds against the protestors. The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that 21 protestors were injured by soldiers’ firing in the West Bank.
Thousands of people held protest demonstration in cities and towns across Egypt to express solidarity with Palestinian people in Gaza. In an unusual move, the Egypt’s government also approved and even helped arrange 27 sites for protesters to gather on Friday.
As per media reports, protest demonstrations were held in South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia and other nations to express solidarity with the people of Palestine.
Thousands of protestors gathered in Iraq, in Jordan, in Turkiye’s capital city Ankara and Istanbul to condemn Israeli airstrikes against people in Gaza.

The Health Ministry in Gaza said over 4,137 people have been martyred and over 14,000 injured in Gaza since the war started, most of them children and women. Health officials said that over 1,000 people were believed buried under debris of the buildings. Over 1,400 people in Israel have also been killed during the war with Hamas.
