BEIJING: Protests against China’s strict rules for Covid-19 erupted into a second night and spread to major cities.
Protesters gathered in the capital of Beijing and the financial center of Shanghai.
According to BBC, many held up a blank piece of paper to express their displeasure and agree to the investigation.
Millions of people have been affected by almost three years of mass testing, isolation, and rapid lockdown. Police allowed the protest to continue, but Shanghai authorities arrested many people and closed the streets on Sunday.
