MADINAH: The Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah has received 5,278,896 worshippers and visitors in the past week, with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque offering services to address their needs, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
The authority in a recent report noted that 516,026 visitors had visited the Prophet – peace be upon him – and his two companions. Additionally, 243,800 visitors offered prayers at the Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa, adhering to the organized crowd management procedures and visiting hours.
The authority said that 75,898 visitors from different nationalities benefited from translation services. Field services included sterilization and disinfection activities, provision of 1,570 tons of Zamzam water, and testing and analysis of 180 Zamzam water samples. Moreover, 121,560 Iftar meals were also distributed in designated places for Iftar at the Prophet’s Mosque.
