ISLAMABAD: The Agency of the General Presidency for the Affairs of Prophet’s Mosque has made available Braille-system Quran copies for the blind; it was reported on Monday.

The report said that as many as Braille-system, 65 copies of the Holy Quran, and 39 Islamic books had been displayed in prayer areas specialized for persons with blindness. According to the report, Quran copies printed in Braille, a unique writing system for the blind, are made to make it easier for the blind to quickly and easily access the pages and chapters of the holy book.
According to the new technology, static Braille characters are animated so they can be electronically created in accordance with the Arabic letters and Quran verses based on the version of the King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah.
