Islamabad: Several key political figures of South Punjab on Monday joined the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP). As per details, the prominent leaders of South Punjab called on former President Asif Ali Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Zardari House, Islamabad. During the meeting, they announced to join the PPP, local media reported.

The prominent political figures who joined the PPP including the ex-lawmaker Chaudhry Asghar Jatt, former provincial minister Syed Haroon Ahmed Sultan Bukhari, former MPA Syed Jameel Shah, Advocate Malik Faiz Ahmed Khakh, Rana Intizar Ahmed, Mian Amir Wattoo and Masood Majeed Daha.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed and congratulated all those who joined the PPP.
Former Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani and Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmood were also present during the meeting.
