AFGHANISTAN: Construction on a water delivery network has started in the Khost province of eastern Afghanistan.
A local official said Tuesday the network will supply 575 families with safe drinking water. He stated that the project, which would cost 13 million afghanis (about 160,500 USD), will be finished by the end of 2023.
After the project is finished, approximately 575 homes will have access to safe, clean water in Khost City, the province of Khost’s capital. On Monday, six water networks were also serviced to supply 2,500 households in the western Farah province with drinkable water.
Costing 13 million afghanis (about 160,500 U.S. dollars), the project will be completed by the end of 2023, the official said. —Xinhua/APP
