During his address, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that he wants “authoritative” people to discuss the issue of elections and he is ready for it because the solution to Pakistan’s current problems lies in clean and transparent elections. He said that he knew that the former army chief was conspiring against him.

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that he spent 22 years of his life in struggle. Talking about the role of the army, he said if our army is weak, the country will suffer because there are many countries where this has happened. Imran Khan further said that he criticizes the army for betterment, but PDM is conspiring to somehow bring the Tehreek-e-Insaf and the army face to face.

Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaaf said that the tragedy of East Pakistan is in front of us where we did not give power to the party with the majority. He said that PDM is deliberately bringing Tehreek-e-Insaaf and the army face to face. He said their 7,500 workers have been arrested.

Imran Khan, while addressing the PTI strikes, recounted the events that unfolded after his removal from power on April 9, 2022. He mentioned that the following day, people took to the streets in protest. He stated that a rally was planned in Lahore, for which they had obtained permission, but suddenly their party members were being arrested. Imran Khan revealed that even his home was raided when his wife, Bushra Bibi, was alone.

The former prime minister described the circumstances surrounding his arrest, stating that when he was taken into custody in the morning, he had openly declared his readiness to be arrested if there was a warrant against him. However, instead of following proper procedure, he claimed that the authorities broke windows and assaulted him with a stick, thereby tarnishing Pakistan’s image.

Imran Khan acknowledged that the reaction from the public following his arrest was expected, but he condemned the incidents of arson and encirclement. He mentioned that his party intends to approach the court to establish a judicial commission to investigate these events. He also expressed concerns about the premeditated incarceration of PTI members, claiming that they are now being coerced to leave the party.

In his criticism of Nawaz Sharif, the former prime minister argued that the person residing in London does not care about defaming the army, as he has already tarnished its reputation. He emphasized that any notion of such actions destroying the PTI is a misconception, as the majority of the Pakistani people stand in support of the party. Imran Khan further revealed that 25 individuals have been martyred thus far, while 7,500 PTI workers, including women, are currently imprisoned. He expressed fears about the ill-treatment they might face. Imran Khan also addressed rumors of harboring 40 terrorists in his home and invited authorities to conduct a search with a warrant to dispel such claims.

Imran Khan asserted that 70 percent of the nation stands united. He called for those capable of holding elections to proceed and save the country.
