LONDON: Prince William has publicly expressed his gratitude and optimism regarding Kate Middleton’s victory over cancer. His remarks came on Tuesday during his first public appearance since Kate’s emotional announcement that she has completed her chemotherapy treatments.

The Prince of Wales was in Llanelli, South Wales, where he participated in events celebrating Welsh culture and sports. During his visit, William took time to acknowledge the support that the public has shown towards his wife, the Princess of Wales.

Speaking to supporters, William expressed his relief and cautious optimism about Kate’s recovery. He told Pauline Thomas, one of the well-wishers, “It’s good news but there is still a long way to go.”

Meanwhile, William met with students, including ten-year-old Ruby Davies, who was honored with an award at the festival. Ruby presented William with a friendship bracelet for his three children—Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6. The Prince assured Ruby that his children would cherish the gift.
