Prince Harry, the estranged second son of King Charles, has shed light on his childhood, his family life, his attempt to sort out family matters privately, and his decision of relinquishing royal duties.

In his first US television interview with Anderson Cooper for “60 Minutes”, Prince Harry discussed his new memoir “Spare” and relived the death of his mother, his childhood, and life as the Sussex Duke living in the UK and America.

Cooper questioned Prince Harry on the criticism directed at him and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan, for their decision to stand back from their royal duties while openly airing their complaints about what led to the move publicly.

Prince Harry says he tried to sort out family matters privately

Prince Harry reaffirmed that he tried to discuss the situation personally. He says, “Every time I tried to do it quietly, there have been leaks, briefings, and rumors planted against my wife and me. Never explain, never complain” is the family’s motto; it is merely a slogan.”

The couple’s Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” launched last month, has garnered the most recent media attention. In it, the couple shared stories of their courtship and their views on how the media and their respective families treated them.

In an upcoming tv interview with the British network ITV, Prince Harry is also anticipated to go into more depth about his life inside and outside the royal family. Prince Harry stated, “I want a family, not an institution.”

The Duke of Sussex appeared to be alluding to the royal family when he remarked, “They’ve shown no willingness to reconcile,” in a preview clip of the interview made available on Monday.

In an interview clip, he told Tom Bradby, a journalist, that he would like to get his father and brother back. The full interview will air on ITV1 on Sunday, January 8. The “60 Minutes” interview with Prince Harry will also air on Sunday on CBS.
