ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb has dismissed rumors that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would be taking a vote of confidence from the county’s parliament, local media reported on Monday.
In a tweet, she said that Shehbaz Sharif had not made any such decision, and there was no consultation in this regard.

She further said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who was the unanimous candidate of the people, PML-N, and the coalition political parties, had already taken the vote of the leader of the lower house on April 11, 2022.
The Minister also asked the media to verify any news related to the Prime Minister before reporting it, saying that a fabricated buzz was not a fact.
This latest statement from the Minister puts an end to the rumors and news reports circulating on social media regarding the Prime Minister taking a vote of confidence from the country’s parliament.
