ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid heartfelt tribute to the late Syed Ali Geelani, an iconic leader in the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination, on the third anniversary of his death.
In his message, Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering moral, diplomatic, and political support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He highlighted Geelani’s significant contributions and lifelong dedication to the Kashmir cause, emphasizing that his legacy of resistance and resolve would continue to inspire.
Sharif underscored that Geelani’s commitment to the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, even amidst severe trials and imprisonment, remains a beacon of hope. He assured that Geelani’s sacrifices would not be in vain, and that Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri struggle would persist. The Prime Minister’s tribute reaffirmed Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir issue and the nation’s ongoing solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their quest for freedom.
