He issued the remarks in his message on the eve of World Human Rights Day, and said that on this day, it is also imperative that they take a closer look at the human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where Kashmiris have been kept deprived of their right to self-determination.

Government of Pakistan and United Nations

The prime minister of the South Asian nation said that they must take measures together in solidarity to realize a society devoid of injustice and inequality, guided by the overarching principles of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. He said that Pakistan’s Government will continue to work for justice, dignity, equality, and human rights for all.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the theme for this year is “Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for Everyone”, and accordingly, they must not forget the vision of the country’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who wanted for them (Pakistanis) a free nation, where “we all could be equal citizens of one State”.
