ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President, Asif Ali Zardari, visited the National Defence University (NDU) in Islamabad on Saturday to address participants of the 27th National Security Workshop (NSW-27).
The workshop, which convened parliamentarians, senior civil and military officials, and representatives from academia and civil society, aimed to deepen understanding of the interplay between various elements of national power within the framework of Comprehensive National Security.
In his address, President Zardari congratulated participants on completing the workshop and praised their commitment to enhancing national security awareness, according to the military’s media wing- Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

He emphasized the critical role of informed leadership, national cohesion, and integrated policy-making in addressing Pakistan’s evolving security challenges.
Highlighting the importance of NDU’s programs, he noted that the National Security Workshop remains one of Pakistan’s premier platforms for fostering dialogue at the national level, strengthening institutional capacity, and promoting a whole-of-nation approach to security.
The President also personally awarded certificates to the graduating participants, marking the conclusion of NSW-27.
