ASTANA: Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Kazakhstan’s women ahead of International Women’s Day during a festive ceremony on March 7, the Akorda press service reported.
President Tokayev expressed deep appreciation and respect for the invaluable contributions of women to the nation’s progress, acknowledging their equal participation alongside men in various spheres for the country’s benefit.
He reassured them of continued state support and highlighted the allocation of special quotas for women in governmental representative bodies, a measure initiated under his leadership.
“Women play a vital role in Kazakhstan’s development. From entrepreneurship to science, sports, and education, their influence is profound. As the majority of our educators, they instill patriotism, knowledge, and diligence in the younger generation, contributing significantly to the nation’s well-being,” said President Tokayev.
During the ceremony, President Tokayev presented awards to the winners of the Aru Ana contest, recognizing outstanding women leading impactful projects across diverse fields, thus enriching civil society.
The event concluded with a joyful concert, bringing together the President and participants to celebrate the occasion.
