MAKKAH: President of the United Republic of Tanzania Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan has received Muslim World League (MWL) Secretary General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa in Dar es Salaam, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The two officials during the meeting at the Presidential Palace discussed programs and initiatives of the MWL in Africa, specifically in Tanzania.
Al-Issa also delivered the sermon and led prayers at the largest mosque in Dar es Salaam on Friday. The sermon highlighted mercy, forgiveness, and tolerance in Islam, as well as the etiquette and wisdom of Muslims in dealing with others.
He also spoke of the right behavior inspired by the Holy Quran and Sunnah, in giving Dawah, uniting hearts, and revealing the truth of Islam and its virtues to the world.
