President of Maldives Meets with Saudi Foreign Minister

NEW YORK: President of the Republic of Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

The minister during the meeting conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to President Muizzu, and wished the Maldives continued progress and prosperity.

President Muizzu also sent his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia.

The two leaders discussed ties between the two countries, ways to enhance cooperation, the latest international developments and issues of common interest.

Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz and several Saudi officials also attended the meeting.
