President Highlights India’s Human Rights Violations in IIOJK

ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi on Tuesday called for highlighting the serious human rights violations and heinous crimes being committed by the Indian Security troops in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) against the innocent people of the valley.

He expressed these views while talking to an All Parties Hurriyet Conference (J&K) delegation, led by Mahmood Ahmad Sagar, which at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

On the occasion, the President reiterated that Pakistan would continue to support the people of Kashmir in their struggle for the right to self-determination.

He said that the people of Pakistan stood with their Kashmiri brothers and the country would continue to extend all possible moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmir people in their struggle for self-determination.

The President said that India was trying to accelerate the process of demographic changes through different measures like issuing over 4.5 million domiciles to non-Kashmiris to settle them in IIOJK and put up the land of locals for sale to non-Kashmiris.

Violations of UN Security Council’s resolutions

The president termed such acts as blatant violations of the United Nations Security Council Resolutions and international law, including the forth Geneva Convention.

He said that India was involved in the ethnic cleansing of Muslims in IIOJK, as per Genocide Watch, the valley was on the brink of genocide.
