President Condoles Deaths in Road Mishap in Neelum Valley

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed grief over the deaths after a jeep plunged into a river in Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir.

In a statement, Asif Ali Zardari prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the departed souls, sympathized with the bereaved families, and also prayed for strength to bear the loss.

According to media report, 13 people were killed when a jeep skidded off the highway and plunged into a ditch in Neelum Valley today.  According to police, the 13 victims included four women and three children.

They stated that a rescue team was immediately dispatched to the site as soon as the incident was brought to their knowledge. Details showed some local people were also wounded in the road accident. Rescuers said that the injured have been shifted to a local hospital for medical assistance.
