President Arif Alvi Urges for Enhanced Bilateral Trade with Serbia

President Arif Alvi stresses the need to promote business and trade activities.

ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi on Tuesday emphasized the need to increase the value of trade between Pakistan and Serbia and promote business and trade activities between the two countries to better realize the potential of trade and cooperation.

The Prime Minister expressed these views during a meeting with Pakistan’s ambassador-designate to Serbia, Ali Haider Altaf, here at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.
While speaking to the elected ambassador, the President asked him to make efforts to establish business and trade relations and increase cooperation in the commercial institutions of the two countries.

He asked the ambassador to make efforts to increase the frequency of bilateral visits between the two countries to explore new areas of cooperation, especially in the areas of higher education and technical skills, information technology, information, and culture.

He said that Pakistan offers favorable conditions for investment and opportunities for cooperation between Pakistan and Serbia in the areas of hydropower, railways, telecommunications, industry and commerce, renewable energy, and waste management technologies that require research.

The President also asked the Ambassador to work hard to open the Serbian Embassy in Islamabad, which will increase business and people-to-people interaction.
