ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has facilitated the Pakistani nation on Youm-e-Takbeer, a day when the country conducted nuclear tests.
“I felicitate the Pakistani nation on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer when on this day 25 years ago, in response to India’s nuclear tests, Pakistan conducted nuclear tests that was essential for maintaining the balance of power in the region. The achievement of nuclear capability was indeed a remarkable feat and for this, our scientists, engineers, and political and military leadership of the time deserve high commendation,” he said in a statement.
On this day, the president said, “the whole nation pays tribute to the contributions of our eminent engineers and scientists who made Pakistan a nuclear power within a short period of time. We must highly appreciate our political and military leadership that took wise decision at that time to achieve nuclear capability making defence of the country unassailable. For this, our whole nation is indebted to all those who played their part in making Pakistan the 1st Islamic nuclear power.”
“On this day, let us pledge to make Pakistan a stronger country by investing in the intellectual development of our people and strengthening our cyber security to ensure our defense. I am hopeful that we could make Pakistan’s defence impregnable with our collective efforts. May Allah be our guide and supporter. Ameen!,” he said.
