ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, on Saturday congratulated Chinese President Xi Jinping on his unanimous re-election as President of China for the third time.
In his message on Twitter, he said, “I congratulate H.E. President Xi Jinping on his unanimous re-election. The strong brotherhood has grown from strength to strength. As China’s closest friend and all-weather partners, we look forward to working closely with President Xi to advance relations.”
Message to Nepal president
In a separate message, President Alvi also congratulated the newly-elected President of Nepal, Ram Chandra Poudel. He said in a Twitter message, “Warm felicitations to Right Honorable Ram Chandra Poudel on his election as the President of Nepal. Look forward to working with him for the advancement of Pakistan-Nepal relations.”
