President Alvi Calls for Deepening Pakistan-Iran Ties in Trade and Culture

ISLAMABAD: President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, on Thursday emphasized the need for stronger ties between Pakistan and Iran, particularly in the areas of trade, economy, culture, and people-to-people contacts.

During a meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Iran, Mudassir Tipu, the president highlighted the historical, cultural, and religious bonds between the two brotherly neighboring countries.

President Acknowledges Iran’s Support

President Alvi also stressed the importance of raising awareness about the plight of the people living in the Indian Illegal Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) to the Iranian people. He acknowledged Iran’s support for causes related to justice and equity in the regional context.

In response, Ambassador-designate Mudassir Tipu expressed his commitment to work for further strengthening Pakistan-Iran ties and explore their full potential in light of the emerging geopolitical developments.
