ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has appointed Prof. Dr. Fazal-Ur-Rahman as the Dean of the Faculty of Education at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) for three years, local media reported on Sunday.
As per media reports, the Ministry for Federal Education and Professional Training notified the appointment, while the university has also issued an official notification in this connection.
After the notification, Vice Chancellor, AIOU, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, has extended his congratulation to Dr. Fazal on his appointment and hoped that the faculty members under his guidance would work even harder towards the development Allama Iqbal Open University and aligning the curriculum with contemporary needs.
Deans, faculty members and other officers also congratulated Dr. Fazal and considered his appointment a positive sign for the prosperity and progress of the university.
The newly appointed Dean promised to do his best to fulfill the trust of the higher officials and contribute to the progress of the university, especially its faculty.
