ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi administered oath to Captain (retd) Shahid Ashraf Tarrar as Chairman Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) here on Thursday.
The Aiwan-e-Sadr hosted the swearing-in ceremony. As per Section 203C (2) of the Constitution, the president administered the oath.
Shahid Ashraf Tarar was a former Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) officer of Grade 22. Since January 18, 2021, he has been a member of the Federal Public Service Commission. The position of Commission Chairman was vacant from December 16, 2022. —APP
