LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party’s Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the LHC is still being characterized as a ‘crime scene’ as he highlighted his family’s history of seeking justice across generations.
In his address at the Lahore High Court Bar on Tuesday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted the judiciary’s importance in ensuring justice. PPP chairman took a swipe at former Prime Minister Imran Khan, recalling the leader’s earlier statements about all politicians being ‘thieves’. He pointed out Khan’s past refusal to engage with alleged ‘thieves’ and suggested that recent developments might prompt the Prime Minister to reconsider his stance.
While acknowledging political differences, the PPP Chairman expressed his respect for political workers and called for more civil discourse in politics. He lamented the prevalence of personal animosity in the country’s political landscape and criticized the politics of reprisal, animosity, and division, attributing these trends to Prime Minister Khan.
Expressing thanks to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Supreme Court judges, Bilawal Bhutto conveyed optimism regarding receiving justice in ongoing legal proceedings, including the Bhutto reference. He also addressed the ongoing oppression in Palestine, expressing solidarity with the people enduring hardships in Gaza due to Israel’s attacks.
