BERLIN: Bavaria, located in southern Germany, experienced the brunt of powerful storms and heavy rainfall on Sunday, leading to widespread flooding and substantial damage to homes, roads, and infrastructure.
The Straubing region in Bavaria bore the impact of the relentless downpour, resulting in the inundation of many streets and basements in residential areas. The Niederbayern Police Department issued a statement highlighting the severe flooding caused by the intense rainfall.
As a consequence of the storms, fallen trees blocked several roads in the affected areas, complicating travel and further contributing to the disruption caused by the weather conditions.
