Positivity Ratio Goes up as Pakistan Reports More Covid Infections

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported another 41 Covid-19 infections and no fatality during the last 24 hours (Thursday), showed the statistics released by the National Institute of Health (NIH) on Friday morning.

The death toll in the country stood at 30,628, whereas the number of total infections now rose to 1,574,554 after adding the new 41 cases. During the last 24 hours (Thursday), 5,501 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan, whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.75 percent. The number of patients in critical care was 55.

The first significant study on the subject said Thursday that people who have had Covid more than once are two or three times more likely to have a range of severe health problems than those who have only had it once.
