PESHAWAR: A Policeman on duty to provide security to a Polio team was shot dead on the main Marian Road, District Bannu, on Wednesday.
Police said that unidentified armed men attacked the Polio team on Bannu Marian Road, critically injuring Kamran, a police officer on duty with the Polio team.
The injured Policeman was taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in Bannu, however, he could not survive the injuries and embraced martyrdom.

Police said that the incident happened near the Akhund Khel Pump, while the attackers successfully escaped.
