Police to Construct 50 New Quarters for Female Cops

ISLAMABAD: Police have received administrative approval to build 50 additional residences for female policemen and two new police barracks.

According to a police spokesman, the police received administrative approval for 50 additional quarters for female officers and two barracks for 480 male officers on Thursday. He said that every attempt was being made to ensure the well-being of the personnel as Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has taken many steps in this regard. He said such gestures would boost the morale of the force, and it was the top priority to ensure the best facilities for personnel from all wings.

The spokesman said that a state-of-the-art first National Police Hospital with 100 beds has already been approved, and construction work will start soon.  The IGP approved a 100-bed capacity project for the Islamabad Police. He insisted that the construction of residential flats for doctors and paramedics is also a part of the project.
