LAHORE: Local police raided the house of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President and former Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi in Lahore on Thursday.
An Anti-Corruption Court in Lahore refused Elahi’s interim bail on Thursday for alleged corruption in development projects. He joined the PTI in February, along with eleven other former MPAs from the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q).
The PTI president then said that he and his son stand with Imran Khan and will continue to support the PTI chairman. Elahi, in a video message, confirmed he and his son Moonis are completely supporting Imran Khan after Chaudhry Wajahat, one of his family members, left the party.
The PTI president said his position as chief minister instilled in him a sense of devotion to Imran Khan. However, when asked to resign from his position, he did so freely and without reluctance.
