LAHORE: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has claimed that Punjab police are planning another operation at Zaman Park in Lahore.
Fawad Chaudhry tweeted on Sunday, “The police are again planning an operation at Zaman Park; when the court time is over, the pet officers come out of the bill and torture the oppressed children; I ask the Chief Justice of Lahore to make special courts for the night, where action can be taken to stop the cruelty. Coins are approaching the Chief Justice against the police operation.”

Violent clashes between police and PTI workers at Zaman Park
After the police operation at Zaman Park, the PTI workers attacked the Elite Force team and their vehicle, vandalizing the police vehicle and throwing it into the canal.
In response, the provincial government spokesperson stated that legal action would be taken against the miscreants who stormed the Elite Force team and their vehicle on Canal Road.
According to media reports, the police team was returning from Gaddafi Stadium after providing security for the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) final match when their van was stopped by a group of PTI workers armed with sticks.
Video footage on social media shows the alleged PTI workers smashing the police van’s windscreen and headlights while the driver attempted to leave.
Another video shows a police vehicle being thrown into the canal.
The Punjab government has claimed this is the third attack on police officials within a few hours.
The violence was in response to a police operation at Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence shortly after he left for Islamabad to attend the Toshakhana case hearing.
