HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Police on Friday conducted a crackdown against display of weapons and use of decorative number plates, tinted glasses, horn and police lights in private vehicles.
A police spokesman here on Friday said that the action was taken on the instructions of Sindh Inspector General of Police Riffat Mukhtar.
He informed that the police checked the IDs of private security personnel who perform tasks or provide protocol to private persons in the city, adding that immediate checking was also done at the entrance and exit of the city.
The police have appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the police during the immediate check.
The police officers have been ordered to treat the citizens well during the inspection. —APP
