RAWALPINDI: Police apprehended a three-member street crimes gang and recovered 2.7 million rupees from their possession during a crackdown in Saddar, Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
According to a police spokesperson, the arrested suspects were identified as Tasif, Ishtiyaq and Mehtab who broke the lock of a shop and stole 2.7 million rupees.
The gang had fled away after the crime; however, police tracked and arrested it by using the latest technology.
Police start further investigations
Moreover, Gujjar Khan police have also registered separate cases against the suspects and started further investigations.
SP Saddar appreciated the timely action of the police team and said that the accused should be probed with solid evidence and must be punished.
He said that it was the prime duty of the police to provide safety and protection to lives and properties of the masses. –APP
