Pneumonia Outbreak in Hazara Division After Temperature Drops

ABBOTTABAD: After heavy snowfall and rains in Hazara Division, the freezing temperatures triggered Pneumonia in various areas.

Mercury dropped below level zero in the upper parts, especially in upper Mansehra, Battagram, Galyat, and Kohistan, causing Pneumonia outbreaks in the region.

A 4-month-old boy lost his life to the disease in Dalbanni Khait Mansehra, and many others were hospitalized.

Over the past two weeks, many young children have been hospitalized in various areas, including Galyat, Siran Valley, Battahtsam, Manshera, Thandiani, and Kaghan. Some of these areas recorded more than 5 feet of snowfall.

Pneumonia-infected children hospitalized

The Pneumonia infected children were admitted to Ayub Teaching Hospital (ATH), King Abdullah Hospital Mansehra, and District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Abbottabad.
