LAHORE: Local health officials said that Pneumonia has claimed lives of more 14 Children in during last 24 hours in Punjab. The alarming statistics were reported by the Punjab Health Department, shedding light on the severity of the pneumonia outbreak in the province.
The health authorities disclosed that 872 cases of pneumonia reported across Punjab during the last day, with Lahore alone accounting for 202 children grappling with the respiratory illness.
According to the Health Department, 14 more children died of pneumonia in Punjab in the last 24 hours, out of which 2 were from Lahore. As per the details, 16, 203 children have been infected with pneumonia in Punjab in January, out of which 275 children have died due to pneumonia.

In Lahore, the figures remain unsettling, with 2,903 children contracting pneumonia within the month, and 56 children succumbing to the respiratory ailment.
