ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) organized InvestExpo 2023, an event featuring exhibitions by key players in the financial sector, marking a significant stride towards promoting secure investment alternatives and enhancing financial literacy.
The expo, the first of its kind in Islamabad, showcased diverse investment opportunities, bringing together stock brokers, commodities brokers, mutual funds, insurance, and microfinance companies under one roof.
Mr. Akif Saeed, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), inaugurated InvestExpo 2023. In his opening speech, Mr. Saeed emphasized the crucial role of investor protection, affirming the SECP’s commitment to maintaining a fair and transparent marketplace through regulatory safeguards. He highlighted the SECP’s investor education program, Jamapunji, aimed at improving financial literacy and enabling individuals to make informed financial decisions.
The expo served as a platform for dialogue, idea exchange, and awareness sessions by market experts, focusing on investing in stocks, commodities, mutual funds, insurance, takaful, and microfinance. The goal was to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge about various investment avenues, fostering financial literacy across Pakistan.
