PMD Forecasts Hot, Dry Weather in Most Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted predominantly hot and dry weather for the majority of plain areas across the country during the next 24 hours. However, a likelihood of rain, wind, and thundershowers has been indicated in select places within Kashmir and its adjoining regions.

As per the synoptic situation, an existing westerly wave continues to influence the upper regions of the country and is projected to gradually shift eastward in the upcoming day.

During the past 24 hours, a prevailing atmosphere of warmth and humidity enveloped most parts of the nation. Simultaneously, episodes of rain, wind, and thundershowers were observed in various areas, including Islamabad, northeastern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa upper areas, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir.
