PM Visit to UAE to Yield Fruitful Outcomes: Envoy

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Envoy to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s much-anticipated and comprehensive trip to the United Arab Emirates was highly successful which would eventually bring about extensive positive outcome within the next few months.

In an interview with media, he said that the trip will yield positive results not only in terms of economic and other cooperation but also in terms of forging friendship and alliances. He said that the UAE will be “moving ahead significantly” to invest in Pakistan.

He further added that the UAE’s priority is to invest and cooperate with Pakistan several sectors including agriculture, energy and information technology which will bring new employment opportunities for youth in the country.

He further said that Islamabad is keen to enhance relations with the UAE in all sectors, especially in the IT sector and tourism, saying, Pakistan has a potential tourism industry which can attract the UAE population and residents living there from other nations.

The government of Pakistan will play every possible role in bringing together Industry and businessmen cooperation of both nations, the ambassador assured.

He said that the emirate has allocated “$10 billion for investment in promising economic sectors in Pakistan. He said that PM Shehbaz Sharif discussed bilateral ties, including cooperation in political, economic, social, defence and cultural sectors.

Ambassador said that UAE will develop renewable energy projects in Pakistan, as PM Shehbaz Sharif urged more companies to exploit the country’s potential in the energy sector.
