ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday reiterated that Pakistan attached importance to its long-standing relations with the United States.
US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif here in Islamabad. Both discussed matters of mutual interest.
The premier thanked the US for its support to Pakistan in its post-flood reconstruction and rehabilitation activities, including the International Conference on Resilient Pakistan, recently held in Geneva.
He said that Pakistan wanted to deepen financial and trade engagement with the US. The structured and broad-based engagement was critical to advance the shared goals in bilateral and regional domains.
Ambassador assures US support in economic development
On the occasion, the US ambassador said that his country would support Pakistan in post-flood activities and economic reforms and development.
