PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday inaugurated the first phase of FATA University in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa costing 1.8 billion rupees.
This is the first university of merged tribal districts which would provide the latest education to intillegent and capable students of the ertstwile FATA districts.
The prime minister also distributed laptops amongst the talented youth, selected on the merit from across the province.
Addressing the ceremony, the prime minister said that the government was distributing 100, 000 laptops purely on merit across the country.

Highlighting the country’s challenging economic situation, the prime minister stressed the need for learning from the past.
He said this the time has come to shape the future of Pakistan with expeditious efforts in different fields such as Information Technology, minerals, agriculture, export and other sectors.
He said that the government has framed a comprehensive project to utilise agricultural power as a game-changer sector for the economy of the country.
