ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif contacted top leadership of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) via telephone to hold consultations on the name of caretaker chief minister of Punjab.
Taking to her Twitter handle on Tuesday, the minister said that the Prime Minister called former president Asif Ali Zardari, Muslim League (Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, and PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and discussed with them the future scenario on the issue of caretaker Chief Minister for Punjab.
Names for Caretaker Chief Minister
Meanwhile, the opposition leader in Punjab Hamza Shehbaz has sent two names to the Governor of Punjab for the slot of caretaker CM Punjab including Mohsin Naqvi and Ahad Chema. According to a private news channel, Hamza Shehbaz also rejected the nominees of the ex-chief minister Pervez Elahi and has nominated Malki Ahmad Khan for further correspondence over the issue.
