ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday called for the use of absolute state power to crush the scourge of terrorism.
The premier remarks come after a terrorist attack at the Karachi Police Office on Friday night claimed four lives. A Rangers sub-inspect, two police officials, and a civilian were martyred in the attack. All three terrorists were also killed in an operation launched after the attack.

PM Shehbaz commended the successful operation of security forces against the terrorists. He said that the security forces displayed professionalism and diligence and eliminated terrorists.
The premier paid tribute to those martyred during the operation against terrorists. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and announced a martyrs’ package for those who lost their lives in the operation.
He also directed the authorities concerned to provide the best possible medical treatment to those injured.
Shehbaz Sharif also called for paying acute attention to operational readiness and capacity building of police and other law-enforcement agencies.
