Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the coalition government is working diligently on Thar coal and solarization projects to generate electricity.
In his tweet on Monday, the Premier said this project will substantially bring down the cost of electricity and will also help providing relief to the masses. The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of Sindh government and other stakeholders in this regard.
He said energy imports are the biggest item on our import bill. Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan cannot ensure its economic security through heavy reliance on energy imports whose prices have increased sharply. The Premier said massive Thar coal reserves offer a grand window of opportunity and they occupy top place on our agenda.
