ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed the resolve that enemies of Pakistan will be crushed through collective efforts of the entire nation, armed forces and the law enforcement agencies.
Addressing the Federal Cabinet meeting held in Islamabad on Friday, the PM reiterated the commitment of his government to move forward with unity of thoughts and actions in order to eliminate terrorism from the country.
He also categorically stated that no talks will be held with terrorists and those creating hindrances in development will be crushed with full might. He also informed the Cabinet members about his yesterday’s trip to Quetta. The PM said during the visit, a comprehensive review was made regarding the law-and-order situation in Balochistan.
He said during the briefing sessions in Quetta, it was apprised that elements belonging to terrorists and Khwarij are spreading hatred in Balochistan and are being funded from abroad. Commending the efforts of the Chief Minister Balochistan, the PM said the CM launched a number of development projects in the province.
Turning to economic situation of the nation, he stated the announcement of global rating agency Moody’s regarding Pakistan economic outlook shows that the nation’s economy is moving towards upwards trajectory.
The PM said China is a deep friend of Pakistan and China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has opened new avenues of development and prosperity in the South Asian country. The PM said officers and the personnel of the armed forces are chasing the terrorists with the government’s support. The PM assured that the government would extend support for capacity building of the Levies force in the province. He said during the trip, he also interacted with the family members of the martyrs and they were in high morale despite losing their dear ones. He said that the government will implement the proposals and suggestions put forward by the provincial political leaders.
Shehbaz Sharif said the government is also taking effective steps for development of youth. He said ten percent additional quota has also been allocated for Balochistan in the schemes like laptops and agricultural training in China. He stated that the federal government will also spend fifty-five billion rupees to convert agricultural tube wells on solar energy in the province.
The Prime Minister further said that the government will soon unveil its five-year home-grown economic revival plan to boosting exports, industry, agriculture, uplift of youth, and to impart skill and vocational training.
