ISLAMABAD: The 10th meeting of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is underway with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in chair, local media reported on Saturday. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah have been invited to the Council’s meeting.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has also been invited to attend the SIFC meeting. Sources confirmed that KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will also attend the SIFC meeting.
Pakistan’s Minister for Information Atta Tarar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzb, Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Law and Justice Minister Nazir Tarar and Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan will also be attending the meeting. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will also be in attendance at the SIFC meeting. Foreign investment will be the focal point of the meeting. Important decisions are likely to be taken during the meeting.
In the last meeting of Special Investment Facilitation Council, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that SIFC was an important platform which would continue to play its role.
