ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar in his first address to the newly-inducted cabinet came out strong in ‘pursuance of the dream’ he nurtured for long, taking Pakistan to new heights.

Addressing the cabinet Friday, he showed his trust in the members and stated that he is blessed with the best team representing all walks of life.

He made it clear that the caretaker setup doesn’t have the mandate but will do its best to serve the nation to the best of the abilities.

“The time for our setup is limited,” said the prime minister adding, “The mandate doesn’t allow us but we will lay the foundations for the continuity of national and international obligations made by previous government and make and work for new pledges that are allowed in the ambit of law.”

“Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) is what I had in mind for long and now it is formed it’s a dream coming true.”

“Pakistan besides its agrarian economy hosts an unfathomable wealth of natural resources found in abundance in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” said Premier Kakar.

“Balochistan is our pride and we are blessed with resources and now the day has come with all stakeholders on board with army in the leading role it is time to realize this national dream.”

He made it clear that for a common objective, we should all work together hand in hand and achieve our destiny that is bright and prosperous.

“It is a collective national dream and Pakistan deserves it and we all own it.”

Prime Miniter Kakar’s speech highlighted different aspects and when referring to minorities he made it clear they are protected under the law and we will uphold the law.

He pointed at the polarization in society making it clear that there is a rule of law and a rule of order and the rule of order will not be compromised in any circumstances. This rule of order will lead us to the rule of law.

He strictly stated that societies with chaos don’t progress and we will ensure that there is no room for anarchy in the governance and rule of order must prevail. The nation has ethnic groups and Pakistan is shared by all.

Referencing founding father the great Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah he made it clear that rights were not given on the basis of identity and the Illama Iqbal penned it in his poetry that serves as a benchmark for all to follow.

“The vision of Pakistan as portrayed by forefathers should now come to the fore and let’s work together to achieve this dream.”

He strongly rejected the rigidity and extremist views in any form prevailing in society and termed them the forces of darkness.

He made it clear that minorities would ‘stay protected’ and any attempt to harm minorities in the country by ‘marginalised and peripheral’ groups, the state and society would respond to this “sternly and strictly”.

Prime Minister Kakar in his own way expressed how the taxpayer money preps things and set the ball rolling but at the same time he made it clear our actions will speak and we will take utmost care in spending from the national exchequer.

“Having tea and water in this meeting is from taxpayers account.”

“The public trust is with this money and it should never be shattered,” he said adding, “We are morally bound that in our limited time, our actions should give the testimony.”

Referring to May 9 incident he said that it was sad and utterly disappointing. “We will ensure justice is served and those involved will be taken to task without any fear or favour. The law will take it course and we will implement justice.”
