ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Saturday affirmed the country’s commitment to safeguarding minority rights and worship places, emphasizing the nation’s core values.
Speaking at a Christmas ceremony in Islamabad, PM Kakar underscored the historical precedence set by Prophet Muhammad, who respected a Christian delegation from Najran.
The premier highlighted Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s dedication to protecting minority rights, echoing the founder’s sentiments in the historic August 11 speech.

The Prime Minister acknowledged Quaid-e-Azam’s foresight in resisting divisive ideologies, emphasizing freedom of speech, and condemning the propagation of hatred.
He appreciated the Christian community’s contributions to education and healthcare and reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting harmony and protecting minority rights in Pakistan.
Kakar extended Christmas greetings to the Christian community and participated in a cake-cutting ceremony.
